Erasure

Listen to Black Light Odyssey remix of ‘Sacred’ – the new single out 16/17 March.

Erasure_Sacred

ERASURE (Andy Bell and Vince Clarke) have unveiled a new remix from their forthcoming single, Sacred, out on 16/17 March 2015. Listen to Black Light Odyssey’s take on Erasure’s anthemic track here:

The original version of Sacred features on the duo’s latest, Richard X produced album, The Violet Flame. The single, the third to have been added to the Radio 2 playlist, will feature the single mix and a live rehearsal version of Sacred alongside remixes from the likes of Grammy nominated Chris Cox (recent remixes include Katy Perry / Daft Punk & Avicii, listen here:

Rich B & Phil Marriott, Vibora Park, 88Ninety and Black Light Odyssey plus the winning entry to Blend’s (https://blend.io/) recent competition, from Fiben (listen here: http://bit.ly/SacredFibenRemix).

The live rehearsal version of Sacred comes from rehearsals from the band’s recent sell out tour. The Times proclaimed, “There are few greater antidotes to a gloomy, cold, rainy, autumn night than the Saturnalian disco-pop carnival of Erasure” while The Guardian said, “It’s [Bell’s] absolute belief in this music – with its sex-on-the-dancefloor peaks and morning-after valleys – that stops this tour from being a nostalgia outing.” and Global Post described the NY show as “a celebration of synth-pop’s roots”.
