Cold Specks

Release new single Living Signs, backed with exclusive B-sides – out 13/14 April; World tour includes US dates with Sufjan Stevens.

COLD SPECKS announce the release of a brand new single, Living Signs, out on 13/14 April 2015.

Living Signs is backed with an exclusive b-side, Woke Like A Torn Out Eye, plus We Are Many (Revisited), a powerful, political track, borne from Cold Specks’ recent American tour (listen here: https://soundcloud.com/coldspecks/we-are-many-revisited).

Cold Specks embark on a US tour as very special guests of Sufjan Stevens on Thursday 9 April and return to the UK on 21 May for a headline performance at London’s 100 Club (full tour dates below).

The band were recently in Denmark, and recorded a beautiful session for Here Today, watch Absisto here: http://heretoday.dk/session-cold-specks/

Cold Specks, aka Ladan Hussein, returned with a new album, Neuroplasticity, in 2014. Voted one of Wall Street Journal and Los Angeles Times’ albums of the year, the album was described by the Daily Mirror as “The sound of a singular talent magnificently and defiantly coming into her own” while the Evening Standard described it as a “… brooding, beautiful second album” and Uncut wrote that it has “…”the kind of fever pitch of confrontational intensity which bears comparison with Nick Cave & PJ Harvey, combined with the tribal kick of 80’s Kate Bush”.
