Daniel Blumberg
Daniel Blumberg is an Academy Award-winning musician and artist from London. As well as his solo work – three solo albums on Mute: Minus (2018), On&On (2020) and GUT (2023) – he also operates in the multi-disciplinary duo GUO with saxophonist Seymour Wright, releasing GUO4 on Mute in 2019.
Blumberg’s latest film score, for Mona Fastvold’s ‘The Testament of Ann Lee’ (out now on Mute / Milan), follows his Oscar and BAFTA winning score for 2024’s ‘The Brutalist’ (d. Brady Corbet) and his debut film score for ‘The World To Come’ (d. Mona Fastvold), which premiered at the 77th Venice International Film Festival. Previously, he had scored for short films by Lynne Ramsay, Peter Strickland, Brady Corbet, and the French New Wave pioneer Agnès Varda.
Blumberg is also a visual artist who draws with silverpoint. He has exhibited at Deichtorhallen Hamburg, Kunsthal Rotterdam, Union Gallery London and MACRO Rome.
