Demo Policy
We love to receive your demos. Please don’t send too much material to begin with, 3 or 4 of your best tracks is a great start. We’re not able to reply individually to everyone, but we can assure you that all demos are reviewed and if we like what we hear we’ll be in touch.
If you are submitting a demo, please do so by email and send no more than 4 streaming links where your music can be heard. We are unable to accept attachments so please do not send mp3′s or any other files, as they will not be listened to. Send your submission to:

Social Media Manager
London based, Hyrid working
Salary: £27,000 -£35,000
We are looking for a talented individual to join our team. You should be highly self motivated with a passion for music, culture, social media, and of course the Mute roster.
The role will focus on content creation and social media/digital marketing across our new releases and catalogue campaigns. Tasks include creating digital marketing assets, social media posting and development, and basic website updates. You will manage social strategy for all the label’s digital platforms, as well as serve as a resource to our artists. The focus of the role is effective planning and channel strategy, engaging storytelling, analytics, reporting, and day-to-day channel management.
The ideal candidate will have music industry experience, extensive social media experience, and be able to work well within a team.
The role requires you to be confident, organised, detail orientated and able to adapt to new challenges quickly. This is an extremely exciting opportunity for a forward thinking individual to join a dynamic independent music company.
Duties
- Social Media Strategy
- Strong grasp on current trends across a variety of platforms, including but not limited to, Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, Bluesky, X, etc.
- Basic website updating and editing skills
- Able to advise artists on best practices across social media platforms and create content ideas and strategies.
- Responsible for monthly reports outlining activity across our channels with the ability to respond to trends and developments in a timely manner
- Content Creation
- Skills within the Adobe Creative Suite to be able to use Photoshop, Premier Pro, InDesign and After Effects.
- Video editing to create cutdowns from existing videos and re-format them to various formats and aspect ratios.
- Graphic Design ability to create web banners, tour posters, assets etc
- Basic animation/motion graphics skill – to create visualisers, lyric videos, social content, advertising assets.
- Shoot content both video and photo, either via phone or professional camera
- Oversee and maintain editorial calendars that integrate comprehensive communication plans across key platforms, ensuring timely and effective content posting
- Creative Collaboration alongside the team to devise compelling content strategies that resonate with target audiences, leveraging emerging social trends and platform-specific features.
- Digital Marketing
- Ability to notice and respond to digital trends outside of the usual social media platforms.
- Create and maintain label playlists on DSPs
- Utilise other impactful platforms for label promotion, including Bandsintown, Reddit, Linktree, Soundcloud, Discord, etc.
- Community building via storytelling and innovative content
- General
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment: Highly organised and detail-oriented, you excel in managing multiple projects in a high-stakes, deadline-driven environment, you are able to manage your own time and keep the team engaged and informed. Naturally calm under pressure, able to distinguish the critical from the chaos.
