Martin L Gore
Martin L Gore
Martin L Gore is a songwriter and musician, best known as a founding member of Depeche Mode (alongside Andrew Fletcher, Vince Clarke and Dave Gahan). Gore’s solo career began in 1989 with the Counterfeit EP, a collection of radical reworkings and cover versions, followed in 2006 by Counterfeit2 which expanded the EP into an 11-track album. In 2011 Gore and Vince Clarke collaborated for the first time in 30 years on VCMG, an album of acclaimed minimalist techno, and in 2015 he returned with MG, an evocative 16-track electronic instrumental album before releasing The Third Chimpanzee EP in 2021 – a ferocious slice of electronic music that went on to be remixed by the likes of JakoJako, ANNA and Jlin.
