QUINQUIS Shares Gwenno Remix of 'Morwreg"

Breton producer QUINQUIS (aka Émilie Quinquis) — currently on tour with Gwenno across the UK — today shares Gwenno’s remix of ‘Morwreg‘, taken from Émilie’s new album eor.

he two artists first met earlier this year while interviewing one another, discussing how they preserve and celebrate their cultural identities through their music. Both QUINQUIS and Gwenno sing in their native Celtic languages — Breton, Cornish, and Welsh — and eor features collaborations sung in Welsh (with Cerys Hafana) and in Zulu (with Desire Marea). A QUINQUIS remix of a track from Gwenno’s album Utopia (out now on Heavenly Recordings) will follow soon.

“Gwenno’s remix is the remembrance of a long night… recollecting the pieces of a relationship that has broken down on the floor, while the sun is coming up,” says Émilie. “It keeps asking ‘what do you keep from me when your boat is leaving?’ — like the obsession for a lost love running in circles in your mind.”
