HAAi Releases new album 'HUMANiSE'

London-based, Australian-born producer, songwriter and DJ HAAi (Teneil Throssell) today releases her much-anticipated second studio album, HUMANiSE, out now on Mute. The record features the singles ‘Satellite’ (with Jon Hopkins, Obi Franky, ILĀ and TRANS VOICES), ‘Can’t Stand To Lose’, and ‘Stitches’, and builds on her acclaimed debut with an ambitious exploration of what it means to be human in a rapidly digital world. Rooted in themes of connection, vulnerability and community, the album includes collaborations with Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip), KAM-BU, Kaiden Ford, James Massiah, and choirs led by ILĀ and Wendi Rose. HAAi describes the album as “a machine with a human heart,” bringing her voice to the forefront for the first time to capture that balance of emotion and electronic intens

To mark the release, HAAi begins a series of instore performances tonight. She plays 10 Oct, Brighton (Resident), 11 Oct, Bristol (Rough Trade), and 12 Oct, London (Rough Trade East). The new record follows a summer of major festival appearances including Coachella, Movement, and Glastonbury. Alongside the album, HAAi has unveiled two special live sessions: a full album performance filmed inside a surreal 1990s office installation at London’s Drumsheds, and a BBC 6 Music Maida Vale Session, originally broadcast on Lauren Laverne’s show.
