To mark the 40th anniversary of their debut, Laibach and Mute present Laibach 40, a limited vinyl & CD box set.
Originally released in 1985 without the band’s name (banned at the time in Slovenia & Yugoslavia) and with Tito’s speeches censored by a shrill bleep, the legendary debut now appears remastered in its intended form: Nebo žari / The Sky is Glowing.
The collection includes rare early recordings, historic live performances, a newly recreated 1983 Zagreb Biennale set, plus a documentary film with multilingual subtitles, all housed in a specially designed box with archival photos & new essays.
A celebration of one of Europe’s most enigmatic and provocative forces, uncompromising since the very beginning.
