PRODUCTION & DIGITAL ASSETS COORDINATOR – JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Art Director/Head Of Production, this is an opportunity to work closely with all aspects of a vibrant and historic independent label and be instrumental in keeping worldwide releases on track to coincide with release campaigns.
Mute Artists Ltd is the recording label originally founded by Daniel Miller in 1978 with the release of his own single – The Normal ‘TVOD/Warm Leatherette’. Since 1978 Daniel Miller has signed and developed an amazing array of innovative artists, including Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Depeche Mode and Moby, and shown long-term commitment to numerous highly influential musicians and songwriters. With a current roster that includes long-term Mute artists such as Goldfrapp, Erasure, Liars, Can, Laibach and Cabaret Voltaire, alongside newer signings such as Swans, Josh T. Pearson, Arca, Yeasayer, Apparat, Diamond Version and Maps, Daniel Miller has ensured that the guiding spirit behind the roster has always been one of artistic freedom and creative exploration.
Mute also has Management and Publishing divisions, which add to the diversity of knowledge and breadth of experience within the company.
This varied role would ideally see the successful candidate having previous production or supply chain experience. The role calls for extraordinary attention to detail to coordinate release timelines, maintain stock control and provide accurate metadata to all partners.
Knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, inter company file sharing systems like High Tail and Drop Box is essential as well as an understanding of the physical and digital market place for music in 2015 and beyond.
We’re looking for a team player who has a ‘no task is too small’ attitude, someone who handles pressure well, can have a laugh, and is passionate about getting to work in music. If you have a passion for the arts, even better.
